Live steam railroading. A mostly scratch built Baldwin 0-4-0 locomotive in 1.5″ scale, and7.5″ gauge. O’Donnell built the complete loco and tender in a small machine shop in his basement. After five years of construction, it was first run in Sept. ‘06 at Mid-South track in Columbia, Tenn. Please see the picture.
The engine runs on LPG, and has an operating pressure of 125 psi.
Weighs about 300 lbs. and will pull about twelve passengers. The skills
learned in this project has aided him in building the prototypes for the patents and for other instruments.
